Hollywood insults Christianity... again.
Here's a new picture, supposedly taken by David LaChapelle. It's rapper L'il Kim, who recently got out of jail, photographed as the Virgin Mary, complete with a baby in her lap. She's sitting in a room complete with naked men, cocaine, and heroin. I'm not entirely sure what message this photo is supposed to send, but it's disturbing to say the least.

If you don't support Hillary, you hate women!
Surprisingly, this doesn't come from your typical man-hating feminist blogs like Pandagon or Feministing. No, this little gem of wisdom comes from that political genius, Elton John:
Yes, of course, it's the mysogyny! That's why Hillary isn't catching on!! All of us who dislike her must do so because we hate women. By comparison, all of us who dislike Obama must do so because we hate blacks, to follow the same line of logic... right?
Why is it that the Clinton campaign does this? She tries to present herself like a tough woman who can handle being the most powerful person in the world, someone who will have to handle being a rare female in a mostly male world (especially when it comes to foreign politics). But what happens when things don't go her way? She cries, she blames it on the "boy's club", she demands special treatment... she basically acts like a whiny twelve-year-old girl. And yet she's supposed to be able to deal with leaders of Islamic countries that look at women as property, at best?
News flash to Elton John. I do not dislike Hillary Clinton because she's a woman, nor do I dislike Obama because he's black. Like most Americans, I dislike them because of where they stand on the policies. I don't want Hillary in office because she hates the United States like most liberals do, because she's a pathological liar, because she will ruin this country if she has it in her grasp for four years, because she has zero experience to make her qualified for this job, because she is piggybacking her husband's presidency -- and as far as I'm concerned, he's the worst President this country has ever seen! I could go on all day with reasons I don't want to vote for Hillary. Her gender wouldn't come up once.
Sure, there may be a few people here and there that don't support her because she's a woman. But they are a rare, tiny minority. Most people just realize what they're getting into with putting the Clintons back into the White House, and frankly, would rather play leapfrog with unicorns before enduring four years of that torture again.
One of Hillary's biggest mistakes was her attitude of inevitability. She was so used to the Clintons being the Golden Couple of the Democratic Party that she just assumed the Presidency was hers. She looked at this whole primary/election business as red tape, but that they key to the Oval Office was already in her hand.
Well, sorry honey. President Hillary Clinton isn't an inevitability, and it doesn't make anyone a mysogynist for not wanting her in the White House, no matter what Elton John (freakazoid extraordinaire) says.
Hat Tip: Michelle Malkin
Sir Elton John has staged a fundraising concert for US presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton and claimed that the “misogynistic attitudes” of Americans may be hindering her bid for the White House.
The star, an ardent Clinton supporter, raised $2.5 million (£1.25 million) for her campaign with the gig at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.
“I’ve always been a Hillary supporter. There is no-one more qualified to lead America,” he told the audience.
But he added: “I’m amazed by the misogynistic attitudes of some of the people in this country. And I say to hell with them... I love you Hillary. I’ll be there for you.”

The most exciting movie announcement of the year!
Oliver Stone is making a new movie... about President Bush! Woohoo!
Is it too early to start taking bets on how craptacular this is going to be?
And how about that casting? Fantastic, huh? Here are pictures:

Josh Brolin

Elizabeth Banks

James Cromwell

Ellen Burstyn
They look just like these people:

President George W. Bush

First Lady Laura Bush

Former President George H.W. Bush

Former First Lady Barbara Bush
I guess with the magic of movie make-up, it doesn't really matter. Raw, seething hatred of Republicans and a healthy dose of BDS is much more important. And let's face it, that's pretty plentiful in Hollywood, isn't it?
And of course, the very fact that it is an Oliver Stone movie means we can expect it to be chock-full of inaccuracies, lies, twisted facts, paranoia, embellishments, and conspiracy theories. Look at his past movies.
Let's use Alexander as our first example. He turned one of the greatest military leaders in the history of mankind into a homosexual mama's boy with horrific blond hair and a penchant for throwing temper tantrums.
Then there are his past political movies: Nixon, JFK, Born on the Fourth of July... all hyper-paranoid, conspiracy theory filled psychotic movies.
It's surely what we can look forward to with W.
Director Oliver Stone has set James Cromwell to play George Herbert Walker Bush and Ellen Burstyn to play former first lady Barbara Bush in "W," a drama about the formative years of their son, President George W. Bush.
Josh Brolin is playing the title character, and Elizabeth Banks will play first lady Laura Bush.
Stone will direct from a script by his “Wall Street” co-writer Stanley Weiser. Moritz Borman is producing with Bill Block and Jon Kilik.
Block's QED International is financing the film, which will begin shooting Shreveport, La., at the end of April.
Cromwell recently made another fact-based foray in a film about an iconic political figure: He played Prince Philip alongside Helen Mirren in "The Queen."
Stone was calling the project "Bush" when he began showing it to buyers (Daily Variety, Jan. 21), but the filmmakers are now calling it "W." The film is expected to be ready for distribution possibly by the November presidential elections and certainly before Bush leaves the White House in January.

The white guys are always the bad guys, duh!
So, last week at work we received the movie 10,000 B.C. a few days before it was supposed to come out (If you don't want the movie spoiled for you, just go ahead and stop reading now.). As projectionists, we have the privilege of pre-screening movies -- the reasoning behind it is that by pre-screening, we can catch any problems with the prints. We even get paid for it. Studios are happy, we're happy.
Everyone was excited about watching this movie. The trailers looked awesome -- action-packed and tense.
Yeah, the movie was horrible. And I mean, horrible on the scale of possibly-the-worst-movie-I-have-ever-seen. Did anyone see Colin Farrell's Alexander? Remember how bad that was? 10,000 B.C. is just as bad. The plot was horrible, and there was shockingly little action in the movie. The "cavemen" all spoke perfect English, wore dreadlocks, and basically smeared some kind unidentifiable shit all over their faces. It never really says where exactly this is all taking place, but due to the deserts, a river through a desert, and building of pyramids, my best guess would be Egypt.
The plot goes like this: there is a tribe of cavemen who live in this frozen wasteland. A little girl with blue eyes shows up out of nowhere, and as everyone in prehistoric times apparently looked exactly the same, it weirds them all out. A prophecy is made that "four-legged demons" will attack their tribe during the "last hunt". The girl, named Evolet, will be given to the warrior who will bring down a woolly mammoth during this last hunt. And of course, this warrior will lead their people after being attacked. This warrior ends up being D'Leh, a boy who is disgraced by the other boys in the tribe because his daddy abandoned them. D'Leh brings down the woolly mammoth, and thus wins Evolet -- who he then gives up because he "doesn't deserve her". Soon afterwards, the four-legged demons show up, killing some but kidnapping most of the members of the tribe. The few men that are left, including D'Leh, set out to regain their captured tribe members and most importantly, Evolet.
So they walk, and they walk, and they come across a bunch of other tribes who have encountered the same fate. D'Leh gets them all to follow him by talking to a sabre-tooth tiger. They wander around the desert for a while until they come across this metropolis on a river, where pyramids are being built. This is where all their captured tribe members are being kept, as slaves. This is all being done at the behest of someone who calls himself a god. D'Leh eventually gets all the slaves and tribes to band together to overthrow their oppressors, and he kills the tyrant. Evolet gets an arrow in the back and dies, but is "magically" brought back to life. Everyone lives happily ever after.
Now, all of us screening this movie noticed something interesting. Everyone in the film is dark-skinned -- either black or just darker complected in general (think Middle-Eastern or Native American coloring). The god-tyrant is completely covered from head to toe by a gigantic veil, which slips off when D'Leh kills him. And whoopsie, we see that Mr. Tyrant Man is -- gasp!! -- white. Whiter than I am. He was a white old guy.
Now, is that really just a coincidence? I don't like to read too much into things like that, but I wasn't the only person who noticed, and it definitely made us all wonder if that was on purpose or just an "accident" of casting. Or is it just another one of those Hollywood white-guilt things? To liberals, white guilt reigns supreme, and it only fits that a white guy would be the one to want to ruin everyone else's perfect little lives for his own benefit.
If you've seen the movie, what do you think?

It's True
As I reported earlier, The National Enquirer broke the story that Patrick Swazye has been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer and has only five weeks to live.
His publicist has confirmed it.
Swayze is only 55 years old.
This is honestly shocking news. Like virtually everyone else in America, we all remember him from his roles in Dirty Dancing and Ghost, but he's had a long and diverse career. This is just sad, sad news.
Please keep Patrick and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
His publicist has confirmed it.
Twinkle-toed tough guy Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and might only have weeks to live, a rep for the dirty dancer said today.
Swayze's publicist confirmed to Page Six that he's suffering from pancreatic cancer, which could tragically bring down the curtain on his remarkably diverse career.
Swayze was diagnosed with the cancer more than a month ago.
The average life expectancy is six to nine months, with only 4 percent of patients live more than five years.
Last month, Page Six reported that the "Ghost" star underwent a serious "gastrointestinal procedure" at Stanford University Medical Center. His rep said then that the procedure went well and that he was "home and happy."
Swayze is only 55 years old.

Patrick Swayze has five weeks to live?
The National Enquirer is exclusively reporting that Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and has five weeks to live:
I have trouble believing this. In Hollywood, it's near impossible to keep a secret -- if Swayze has been visiting the Stanford Cancer Center every day for the past month, wouldn't the news surely have leaked by now? There's been no word of a confirmation or a denial from Swayze's camp. The most telling part of the article, though, that makes me call BS is this:
How convenient.
Patrick Swayze has cancer! He's gonna die in a few weeks! We have all this evidence and proof to show you, but you have to buy the magazine to see it... tomorrow!
I dunno, it sounds like a publicity stunt to me. And this is The National Enquirer -- c'mon, they aren't exactly known for their authenticity. Then, there's this nugget from notorious gossip blogger Perez Hilton:
IMDB shows no "cheerleading" movie with Swayze attached to it (Google turned up no info, either), but he has signed on to star in a TV movie called "The Beast". If Swayze had terminal cancer and thought he was going to die soon, would he really be signing on to new movie projects? I don't think so.
I guess all we can do is wait and see, but I just have a hard time buying this. If it does turn out to be true, then of course we'll all keep Swayze and his family in our thoughts and prayers.
In a shocking world exclusive, The NATIONAL ENQUIRER has uncovered the devastating news that the beloved Hollywood actor and dancer was diagnosed in late January with pancreatic cancer that has spread to other organs.
For the past month, Patrick, 55, has been traveling to Stanford University's prestigious cancer center in Palo Alto for radical chemotherapy, but his doctors are no longer optimistic that the treatments will be successful.
Patrick and his wife Lisa Niemi — who both have pilot's licenses — have been flying their private Beechcraft plane into Palo Alto's airport, minutes away from the Stanford Cancer Center, where the actor has received outpatient treatment.
He received three doses of chemotherapy and the tumor shrank, but less than his doctors had hoped for — and Patrick was told he should prepare for the end.
"He was told he could have two more treatments, but his cancer was not responding. In short - they held out little hope for a cure," said an insider.

... [A] very good source just told us the following:
"Patrick has been at rehearsals for a new cheer leading movie at century city studio frequently lately, and he definitely does not look like he has 5 more weeks of life left…im not sure of his medical condition(s), but if he is gravely ill, he is hiding it very well."

Celebrity Baby Mama Drama
Angelina Jolie is the most famous of them. Meg Ryan, Sharon Stone, Sheryl Crow, Kate Jackson, Mary-Louise Parker and Calista Flockhart have all done it. Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston have both publicly stated that they're considering doing it.
Is this some hot new diet fad? A drug? Guest star on SNL? Nope, it's adoption. All the women above are single and unmarried, and all of them have adopted children, with the exception of Simpson and Aniston, who are still merely "considering" adoption. God knows how many celebrities have popped out babies with men they've dated for a few months at best and aren't married -- and if they are married, split up in record time. Even Paris Hilton is interviewing that she wants a baby, probably because former BFF Nicole Richie is stealing her spotlight by having one. And now, a new movie is coming out that, in a sense, spotlights this fad -- except this movie shines the light on surrogacy instead.
I give you Tina Fey's new movie, "Baby Mama".
I had only one thought when I watched that trailer for the first time.
What is wrong with Hollywood?!
Tina Fey's movie "Baby Mama" illustrates an epidemic to me. Her character "wants a baby more than anything else", so she finds a way to go out and get one. Nevermind that she's not even dating anyone, so they kid will have literally no father figure in his or her life. Nevermind that an adoption agency turned her down. She wants a baby, damn it, so she's gonna get one by whatever means necessary. She finds a woman to be a surrogate so she can have her baby.
Now, no one misunderstand. I have nothing against adoption, artificial insemination, or surrogate mothers. My own mother and my aunt, her sister, are both adopted (they are not blood-related). A friend of mine is going through the adoption process as well because she's unable to get pregnant after trying every available option to her for a long time. I think it's wonderful when people are willing to open their hearts and adopt, or when someone is willing to carry a baby for a woman otherwise unable to have children. And I also know that there are many single mothers and fathers working hard to give their children the best possible upbringing they can. I don't have a problem with any of that.
What I do have a problem with is how cavalierly Hollywood and celebrities in general seem to treat motherhood.
This trend of celebrities having babies, or adopting babies, just because they decide they "want one" disgusts me. Just because you are rich and famous does not mean you are ready and capable of caring for a child (hello, Britney Spears... ) -- like the ones who adopt or give birth to children without haviny any kind of stable family setting to give them. To celebrities, children are accessories -- just like having another dog to take care of. And when taking care of the kid is getting to be too much work, or they have a movie premiere to go to across the world, or if they want to go out and get obliterated every night at clubs across the country, they can just hand them off to their army of nannies and caretakers, standing by to take over when Mommy doesn't feel like it anymore.
How many of these celebrities do you think are truly capable of putting their child before themselves? Celebrities are narcissistic by nature; it's almost a requirement to be self-centered and self-serving before all else to make it in Hollywood. Putting the well-being of a child before what the celebrity may want right that moment never really crosses their mind; after all, the nanny can take over!
Take Angelina Jolie. She's reformed her image by adopting kids from all over the word, and then giving birth to an adorable little girl named Shiloh who was fathered by Brad Pitt. But how good of a mother is she really? She gives them no stable family whatsoever -- after all, she and Brad are not married, and Billy Bob Thornton was Maddox's original father -- and she doesn't give them a stable home, either. She constantly talks about giving up working for a year or two to give them a stable home, but she never does. Instead, they're uprooted every few months to fly to another country whenever Angelina decides she's getting bored. Does she think about the effect that could have on her children? I'm sure that Angelina loves her children. But I think that she loves herself and her carefree lifestyle more. She doesn't give them a chance to develop roots anywhere, so how can they grow to be healthy and strong? They're "children of the world", she'd say, which I'm sure the U.N. would approve of greatly. But is it what is best for her children? And let's not forget she used to be Hollywood's bad girl, engaging in lesbianism, exchanging blood in vials with her beaus, making out with her brother at award shows, and claiming that she could never be monogamous. What will her children think when they see Mommy making out with Uncle?
I'm sure that there are celebrity parents who are genuinely good, caring parents who are able to put their children first. Unfortunately, they seem to be outnumbered.
Celebrities think its OK to just find yourself a kid as soon as you get a twinge of a maternal urge, but it isn't. Having money does not mean you're able to give your child the best environment possible. Children need stability in their lives; parents that are willing and able to put the wants and needs of their children before their own, and parents who can be good, steady role models for them. Parents who think of themselves first always and see no problem with having a steady revolving door of lovers, while they're out partying every night, doing God knows what kind of drugs, do not make good children. The offspring of celebrities often end up on the covers of tabloids with sex and drug addictions, often with no future and no clue what to do with their lives. Do we really need to wonder why? If celebrities aren't prepared to make their children their first priority, then they shouldn't have them, no matter how much they might "want them". Unless they're actually willing to be parents, it isn't right to just go out and get one like you would a puppy at a pound to make themselves feel more complete inside.
It's time to put an end to this epidemic of Celebrity Baby Mama Drama.

Hollywood sides with terrorists
What was the hot new fashion trend at the Oscars this weekend? Orange ribbons and bracelets -- to represent the glittering celebrities showing their solidarity with terrorists at Guantanamo Bay.
Strange, I somehow doubt that anyone there was wearing a flag pin, or maybe a yellow ribbon, to show their solidarity with our troops, or, I don't know, America. Why would they side with the United States when they can line up withfreedom fighters terrorists?
After all, we're the Great Satan, the oppressive ones in their eyes. They're the ones shrieking about being censored -- into microphones beaming their messages into televisions with millions of people watching. They're the oppressed ones, who are "afraid" to speak out. So of course they side with terrorists, instead of the Evil Empire of the United States of America!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. If that's how they feel, there's nothing keeping them here. They can all pull a Johnny Depp and live happily ever after in France. It's not like they've been giving us anything we'll miss.

UPDATE: Atlas Shrugs has photographic evidence.
The hot fashion accessory [at Sunday’s Oscar ceremony] was apparently orange ribbons and bracelets in solidarity with terrorist suspects in Guantanamo:Out on the red carpet, Paul Haggis (the director whose “Crash” won Best Picture in 2006) said he didn’t know what accounts for all these deeply dark, brooding, troubled films. But isn’t it obvious, he asked, flashing an orange ribbon on his lapel. Orange, why orange? “It’s Guantanamo,” his Max Azria-clad wife, Deborah, said, showing off her orange bracelet, which read: “Silence + torture = complicity.” Suddenly, we noticed — orange ribbons and bracelets everywhere.
You’d have to guess there weren’t too many “24″ fans in that gathering.

Hollywood pays tribute to the military the only way they know how
Well, last night was the Oscars. I didn't watch -- I don't find it particularly entertaining to watch already-smug actors, directors, producers, and the rest of the Hollywood establishment rub shoulders and celebrate their profound awesomeness, which is all the Oscars (and every other award show) really is about.
I did see today, however, that the Academy decided to pay tribute to our troops by letting some of our soldiers in Baghdad introduce the award for Best Documentary.
There was the good:
And the bad:
The winner, Taxi to the Dark Side by Alex Gibney and Eva Orner is about the military committing acts of torture around the world.
I wonder how it went when the Academy decided to let them introduce a category.
- "Hey guys, let's do something to pay tribute to the troops."
- "Yeah, that's a good idea. What category should they introduce?"
- "How about the one where the winner is a film about how sick and twisted our military is?"
- "The one where it shows the troops committing all kinds of torture?"
- "Yeah, that one."
- "Sweet, let's do it! It'll be perfect."
- "Yeah, they're just killing babies and raping goats over in Baghdad anyways."
- "They're probably too stupid to get it."
I guess we shouldn't really be too surprised, though. This if, after all, the only way Hollywood knows how to show support to our troops. They can't do so without finding some way to sully that tribute. But, well, high five for trying!
Well... maybe a low five.

Suck It, Jesus
So says Kathy Griffin upon receiving an Emmy award (emphasis mine):
Ah, celebutards. So original and creative, aren't they? "Artists" lately define good art as anything that offends the mainstream, so taking cheap shots at Christianity is an easy choice. We see it all the time -- urine laced crucifixes, a dung-covered Mary, a naked chocolate Jesus, so on and so forth.
Just out of curiosity: what do you think the backlash will be for this remark? Will outraged Christians write letters calling for Kathy Griffin's head? Will we see protests and rioting from those enraged in the name of Christ? Will members of her show step forward to make clear that they don't support her remarks, as they surely would had she insulted a "protected" minority?
Somehow, I doubt it.
Let's just pretend for a second. Let's pretend we removed the name "Jesus" from her lovely little speech and let's insert the name "Mohammad".
Now let's imagine what the response would be. Griffin would be chastised as a bigot. CAIR would be calling for public apologies and tolerance seminars, and I'm sure we'd see Muslims rioting and calling for much more than a public apology.
But, why go for something like that? It's so much easier to take a pot shot at Christians. They won't fight back.
Now, let me just make one thing clear. I don't believe in someone being censored just because their point of view may be offensive. I do, however, believe in common sense and respect for others. Just because you can say something doesn't mean you should.
It's too bad Kathy Griffin can't understand that simple concept, and can so easily disrespect the faith of millions.

The My Life on the D List star took home a creative arts Emmy on Saturday for best reality program.
“A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this. He had nothing to do with this,” Griffin said in her acceptance speech. “Suck it, Jesus. This award is my God now.”

Lindsay Lohan's dad drops some bombshells
Regardless of whether Lindsay Lohan will ever get her life back on track, you can almost exclusively lay the blame on her parents for her current situation. Their childish bickering, her enabling behavior, and his being in-and-out of prison can only have contributed to her problems.
Now, Michael Lohan, Lindsay's father, drops a series of bombshells aimed at Dina, Lindsay's mother, in an exclusive interview with Perez Hilton. Here's a snippet:
He also accuses Dina of doing cocaine, having committed multiple DUIs as well as several hit-and-runs, and that she has been purposefully keeping him from the children, despite the courts giving him custoday.
He says he has proof and evidence to back up everything he says.
While I don't know how much I'd ordinarily believe anything that comes out of this guy's mouth, I'd believe what he says about the cocaine, the DUIs, and the hit-and-runs. Those are all things that Lindsay has done, and Dina is right by her side at every single party and club.

Now, Michael Lohan, Lindsay's father, drops a series of bombshells aimed at Dina, Lindsay's mother, in an exclusive interview with Perez Hilton. Here's a snippet:
PH: Well I hope maybe hopefully you’ll be able to resolve things without going to court.
Michael Lohan: You know what, that’s been my hope the whole time. This is about being good parents to the kids, not about Dina and I. But she still continues to make an issue between me and her. You don’t see me having some degenerate boyfriend around my kids, I don’t have anyone around our kids, but she has this degenerate boyfriend around our kids. The guy’s a drunk, he’s a rapist, he’s a piece of garbage hanging around my children.
Perez Hilton: Wow, uhm…
ML: Yea, and there’s plenty of proof. Look at her bodyguards. As soon as I had an investigation done on their backgrounds, I found out that they were New York city police officers that were thrown off for ticket scam, and then one of the brothers found out that uhm, found out that his employer, he once worked for a pharmaceutical company, was driving the CEO around and he found out the CEO had settled a sexual harassment case years ago, so he goes and sues the employer for sexual harassment himself.
Dina’s brother Paul Sullivan is getting sentenced for 9/11 fraud. Her other brother is still living at the basement of her mother’s house at 45 years old! You want to talk about backgrounds, look at her family background and look at mine. Look at where my family is. CEOs of companies. Partners of some of the biggest brokerage firms of the country. And look at the other side of the coin.
You want to see letters from people who have known us for 25 years? To see what a good father I was? How I was there for my kids, how I supported them in every way possible. I’ll give you 45 of them. And then you go and call everyone one of these people, including DAs, one from LA. And the one from LA will tell you that Lindsay had a stalker at one time and Dina didn’t want to do anything about the stalker because she said it would be negative press for Lindsay. But worked hard and nailed him.
What comes first, the money or Lindsay’s welfare. I put welfare first, Dina put a price tag on that. I’ve never taken one red cent from Lindsay. Dina still collects from her percentage [as Lindsay’s manager] $354,000 a year from her in salary. What do you have to say about that?
He also accuses Dina of doing cocaine, having committed multiple DUIs as well as several hit-and-runs, and that she has been purposefully keeping him from the children, despite the courts giving him custoday.

G.I. Joe is no longer a Real American Hero
Not in the new movie, anyways.
My newest post at Wizbang covers it all:
Make sure to read the whole thing.
My newest post at Wizbang covers it all:
G.I. Joe was unabashedly patriotic. Many fans were, of course, excited to hear about the new movie to be released by Paramount.
But of course, in the liberal land of Hollyweird, a Real American Hero is just unacceptable. Nope, it's gotta be a global hero. G.I. Joe will be a global operation, not an American one, and G.I. Joe now stands for Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity:The studio's live-action feature film version of G.I. Joe will no longer revolve around a top-secret U.S. special forces team but rather an international operation.
In a follow-up to their confirmation that Stephen Sommers will direct G.I. Joe, Variety offers this new description of the team: "G.I. Joe is now a Brussels-based outfit that stands for Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity, an international co-ed force of operatives who use hi-tech equipment to battle Cobra, an evil organization headed by a double-crossing Scottish arms dealer. The property is closer in tone to X-Men and James Bond than a war film."
...
So why the changes? Hasbro and Paramount execs recently spoke about the challenges of marketing a film about the U.S. military at a time when the current U.S. administration and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are at a low-point in global polls. When a studio makes a film as expensive as G.I. Joe will likely be, they want to know that as many people as possible around the world will want to see it. In other words, G.I. Joe -- "A Real American Hero" -- is a tough sell.
Nothing is sacred to liberals. Nothing patriotic or American is worth preserving. And I'm sure it never crossed their little liberal minds that perhaps if Hollywood made movies in the vein of those released during WWII, in which America, the military, and our soldiers were portrayed as strong, patriotic heroes, rather than today's military movies in which the United States is always the bad guy, war is always "wrong", and our soldiers are morally corrupt, people wouldn't have such a negative outlook on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan (the mainstream media should get that memo, as well). They could be supportive and make movies that showed America, our troops, and their mission in a positive light. But that would go against the liberal agenda. What's even worse is that one of the scripts they had was evocative of the patriotic G.I. Joe, but they chose to go with a script that was less militaristic, described as "X-Men meets Mission: Impossible".
Make sure to read the whole thing.

Lindsay's going to jail; Nicole's already out
Lindsay Lohan copped a plea deal (surprise, surprise) that will mean she has to serve a minimum of four days in prison:
She definitely got off lucky. Had the judge charged her with felonies, rather than misdemeanors, she would be looking at the possibility of years in prison. Celebrity justice, perhaps? She's being smart, too -- doing everything she needs to do in order to clean up her image. She released the following statement:
She's owning up. Pleading guilty. Going to rehab. Submitting herself to prison. Admitting she has a problem. I sincerely hope that she means all that she says, because once upon a time, Lindsay Lohan was a sweet, talented girl with a very bright future in front of her, and if she is serious about taking back control of her life, she could still have a very bright future in front of her. Unfortunately, many Hollyweird types only say and do these things for PR measures, so they can make their image all squeaky-clean again without actually changing anything (hello, Paris Hilton). Lindsay seems genuine, and I pray that she is able to find health and happiness again.
Nicole Richie, on the other hand, checked into jail and served a whopping 82 minutes before being released due to overcrowding.
Must be nice to be rich and famous.
Lindsay Lohan plead guilty to the nine misdemeanor charges - including two DUIs - against her on Wednesday.
The actresses’ high-powered attorney was able to score a deal with the LA District Attorney that was pretty painless.
By law, because Lohan plead no contest to two counts of DUI, she becomes a second offender with two DUIs and like Nicole Richie must serve a minimum of four days in jail.
The judge just said Lindsay will serve 36 months probation and attend an alcohol education program for 18 months for the first DUI.
As for the second DUI plea, she’s ordered to serve 48 hours in jail. She must serve 24 hours by January 18th. Lohan had already served time when she was arrested and that will count towards her sentence.
Lindsay must also perform 10 days of community service and she was ordered “not to associate with people with controlled substances.”
Lohan was not in court today. She’s still on vacation in rehab in Utah.
On January 18th, Lindsay must show the court that she’s successfully completed rehab.
All in all, the sweetness of celebrity justice scored Lindsay the MINIMUM possible sentence mandated by the law for a two time DUI offender in California, that’s four days in jail.
She definitely got off lucky. Had the judge charged her with felonies, rather than misdemeanors, she would be looking at the possibility of years in prison. Celebrity justice, perhaps? She's being smart, too -- doing everything she needs to do in order to clean up her image. She released the following statement:
“It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs. Recently, I relapsed and did things for which I am ashamed. I broke the law, and today I took responsibility by pleading guilty to the charges in my case. No matter what I said when I was under the influence on the day I was arrested, I am not blaming anyone else for my conduct other than myself. I thank God I did not injure others. I easily could have. I very much want to be healthy and gain control of my life and career and have asked for medical help in doing so. I am taking these steps to improve my life. Luckily, I am not alone in my daily struggle and I know that people like me have succeeded. Maybe with time it will become easier. I hope so.”
Bill Murray the newest celebutard with a DUI
But, you know, so many celebutards get DUIs that you gotta find some way to separate yourself from the pack, right?
Bill Murray was arrested for a DUI... on a golf cart.
Driving a golf cart drunk. Now, that may just be a new one! Hard to imagine, as celebutards are able to find so many different and exciting ways to break the law and get away with it, but that's pretty funny.
In all seriousness though, what is it about Hollyweird that makes celebutards think they can do crap like that? The instant you become a celebrity, does your agent sit you down and explain to you that you can do anything you want and get away with it, as long as you go to rehab and do some charity work? I mean, come on! There's no excuse for a celebutard -- or anyone else, for that matter -- to drive drunk. Not when you can afford to have a freakin' driver at your beck and call to avoid that very situation!! Ugh.
But hey, at least Bill Murray can claim he was unique in his law-breaking. I don't think I've ever heard of a DUI on a golf cart.

Veteran funnyman Bill Murray was arrested in Sweden earlier this week on suspicion of drunk driving.
Murray was stopped by police in Stockholm as he was driving a golf cart in the center of the city at 3:29 am on Monday morning.
Bill refused to take a breathalizer test and was taken to the police station for blood testing and processing.

I like it in the South.
Unsurprisingly, another Hollyweird celebrity has come out complaining about the South:
I love how whenever Hollyweird celebrities talk about people living normal lives, their words just drip with condescension.
Now, granted, not everyone needs to live in the South. We got plenty of Yankees coming here, already. But while it is fun to laugh at the My Cousin Vinny and Sweet Home Alabama portrayal of everyone in the South being backwards, slackjawed rednecks where women don't do nuthin' but birth them babies, and if she had a career, way-ull then, she is just an embarassment to her family, it isn't real life.
You're a freak if you're a woman who does something besides get married and have kids, and actually want a career? Well gee, that's the first I've heard of it.
It's as if there are no female anything in the South, and if you want to do something with your life, you better escape now!! Apparently there are no female teachers, or politicians, or scientists, or writers, or dancers, or... well, anything else you can think of.
And on top of that, I'm sick of hearing "enlightened" women turn up their noses to those who get married and have children, even if it is at a young age. My mom got married and had kids early, right out of high school -- her and my dad are still together, and a great example of what a good marriage is. And believe it or not, she STILL got a college degree and a career as an executive!! GASP!!
It's as if in the south, you can only be a wife and a mother, and no career. And if you choose a career, you can't get married and have kids.
You hear this condescension from Hollyweird celebrities about us backward folk here in "Redneckistan" constantly.
So, in Parker Posey's honor, here is what REAL life in The South is like (any Southerners reading this will be smiling and nodding). I wouldn't have it any other way.
“I wanted to leave the South when I was 11 years old. I was a ballerina, and I just knew I wanted to do something. I didn’t want to grow up and get married and have a family at the age of 18 or 21. I wanted to do things. It’s very different down South where you have more of that. I’m from Monroe, Louisiana, and you’re kind of a freak when you actually want to do something with your life.”
- Parker Posey tells OK! magazine

Only in the South!!
Possums sleep in the middle of the road with their feet in the air.
There are 5,000 types of snakes and 4,998 live in The South.
There are 10,000 types of spiders. All 10,000 live in The South plus a couple no one's seen before.
If it flies, it stings; if it crawls, it bites.
Onced and twiced are words.
It is not a shopping cart; it is a buggy.
People actually grow and eat okra.
Fixinto is one word.
There is no such thing as "lunch." There is only dinner and then there is supper.
Iced tea is appropriate for all meals and you start drinking it when you're two. We do like a little tea with our sugar!
Backards and forwards means "I know everything about you."
DJeet? is actually a phrase meaning "Did you eat?"
You don't have to wear a watch because it doesn't matter what time it is.
You work until you're done or it's too dark to see.
You don't PUSH buttons, you MASH them.YOU KNOW YOUR FROM The South IF:
You measure distance in minutes.
You've ever had to switch from "heat" to "A/C" in the same day.
You use "fix" as a verb. Example: "I'm fixing to go to the store."
All the festivals across the state are named after a fruit, vegetable, grain insect or animal.
You install security lights on your house and garage and leave both unlocked
You know what a "DAWG" is.
You carry jumper cables in your car . . . for your OWN car.
You only own four "spices": salt, pepper, Tabasco and ketchup.
The local papers cover national and international news on one page, but require 6 pages for local gossip and sports.
You think that the first day of deer season is a national holiday.
You find 100 degrees Fahrenheit "a little warm."
You know all four seasons: Almost Summer, Summer, still Summer and Christmas.
Going to Wal-mart is a favorite past time known as "goin' Wal-martin" or off to "Wally World."
You describe the first cool snap (below 70 degrees) as good pinto-bean weather.
A carbonated soft drink isn't a soda, cola or pop... it's a Coke, regardless of brand or flavor. Example: "What kinda coke you want?"
Fried catfish is the other white meat.
We don't need no stinking driver's ed . . if our mama says we can drive, we can drive.
You understand these jokes and forward them to your friends from The South (and those who just wish they were).
Not EVERYONE can be a Southerner, it's an art form and a gift from God!

Only in Hollyweird...
... would "anxiety" be an excuse for "medicinal marijuana" use. My bs-o-meter is going off here.
I love the one line: "Dave never thought he was the type who would use marijuana as medicine, until he did - and realized marijuana works."
But I'm sure he'd use it just for fun, right? And hey, now that he found some doc to say he was "suffering from anxiety" he can use it every day if he wants and not get in trouble. I can just imagine the scene at work:
Boss: Dave, why are you staring at your screen saver eating Doritos?
Dave: Well, the fish... they're just like... all swimming... hehe...
Boss: Dave, you smell like... have you been smoking pot!?
Dave: Here ya' go... (hands prescription allowing medicinal marijuana use)
Boss: (Rolls his eyes and stomps away)

Top Ten Worst Celebrity Boobs Jobs
With pictures!!
Listaholic has the Top Ten Worst Celebrity Boobs Jobs:
10. Ivanka Trump

9. Janet Jackson

8. Victoria Beckham

7. Tori Spelling

6. Courtney Love

5. Susan Ward

4. Christina Aguilera

3. Pamela Anderson

2. Tara Reid

1. Vivica A. Fox

My take? I agree with most of the list, although I'd move Vivica A. Fox down -- way down -- along with Christina Aguilera, and put Courtney Love and Victoria Beckham higher up on the list. Maybe it's just me, but I don't see what is attractive about breasts so rock-hard and fake-looking that they look like if you shot Victoria Beckham in the chest, the bullet would bounce off. And Ivanka Trump I'd just take off the list. Her's are not that bad.
For explanation and uncensored pics, check out Listaholic.

As it turns out, too many female celebrities enter a plastic surgeon’s office and come out looking like they’ve been forced to swallow coconuts (or in some cases, watermelons) only to have them lodged inside their chests. Some celebrities also find their implants eventually rippling, and the effect, to say the least, is absolutely gross.
Here are the Ten Worst Celebrity Boob Jobs ever.

Angelina abandons her Cambodian project
This is overwhelmingly typical of celebrities, who are so fickle and shallow they adopt pet causes, keep with them for a few years, and then move onto the next one. Remember Sheryl Crow used to be all over VH1's Save the Music? Now, she's on to battling global warming, one sheet of toilet paper at a time!
Angelina Jolie, "humanitarian"/UN propaganda puppet-ambassador, is known to adopt kids every few months. Her first adopted child, Maddox, was from Cambodia. She was awarded citizenship by Cambodian king Norodom Sihamoni (in addition to her "Citizen of the World" designation by the United Nations Correspondents Association).
One pet project she created was the Maddox Jolie Project:
Project status:
Surprise, surprise.
Kids, this is what we call spreading yourself too thin. Celebrities do this often. It's not exactly like Angelina Jolie doesn't have enough money to continue to fund the project. I mean, she prostitutes photos of her kids left and right to whichever magazine happens to be the highest bidder. Couldn't she use some of that money?
My guess is that she probably forgot about it and moved onto something more publicity grabbing. Whoops! I meant, something more important.

The overall goal of this project is to protect and rehabilitate the wildlife, eco-system and watershed conservation values of the Samlaut Multiple Use Area, Battambang Province.
Cambodia has had a long history in protected area development. By the time of independence in 1957 over two million hectares of Cambodia’s forest was designated as either wildlife sanctuary or forest protection reserves. The subsequent intervention of political insecurity, war, and political isolation resulted in the neglect of these reserves. However, the re-establishment of protected areas has become an integral part of Cambodia’s national rehabilitation since the beginning of the post-war period. A key aspect of this development has been efforts to provide for nature conservation and wildlife protection. This includes the designation of 23 separate protected areas by Royal Decree in November 1993.
The Samlaut Multiple-Use Management Area is one of these. Located on the Cambodian – Thai border within an isolated portion of far western Cambodia, it has a total area of approximately 60,000 hectares. About 39,000 ha. lie within the municipality of Pailin whilst the remaining 21,000 ha. lie within Samlaut district of Battambang province. Its boundaries follow old road alignments, some of which have been maintained in trafficable condition and river and stream courses. The reserve was therefore designated as a multiple-use management area because of concerns that the inevitability of industrialized gemstone mining would lead to the substantive degradation of its nature conservation values.
Project status:
Because of lack of funds the future of this project is uncertain.
Surprise, surprise.

Is this for real?
Growing Up Gotti and But Can They Sing? star Carmine Gotti Agnello is releasing a rap album:
Oh, puh-lease. What is it with Hollyweird celebrities thinking they can do anything and everything? And this guy barely counts as a celebrity. C. Gotti? Really?!
What the hell could he possibly rap about? Self tanner, hair gel, and waxing your eyebrows?

Future rapper C. Gotti
When Carmine Gotti Agnello (Growing Up Gotti, Can They Sing?) turned 21, he got a fancy party thrown for him by (who else) his mother Victoria and was presented with a gigantic bottle of Sex Vodka. But there was a not-so-hidden agenda behind last night’s soiree held at the China Club, which offered a lavish open bar and a spread of catered food for his guests (the canolis were off the hook, Carmine!). This event was intended to let those closest to the Hottie Gotti know that he’s donned a rapper alias, C.Gotti, and is involved in a joint venture with Ruff Ryders (DMX, Jadakiss, Cassidy), who’ve produced his forthcoming opus.
