Ron Paul and Joy Behar on the same stage?! How do they contain all the kookiness?!

Ron Paul was on The View yesterday with Joy Behar & Co., and craziness definitely ensued.

As an example, check out this intro:
Paul's appearance on set didn't come until the end of the show, after the in-depth discussion about Jennifer Love Hewitt's cellulite and body image, the power going out at co-host Joy Behar's last dinner party and Breslin's aversion to math as taught by her tutors.

But Paul was there. The first Republican presidential hopeful to appear on the show, Paul was dubbed by Behar, an avowed supporter of Democrats, as her favorite Republican in the race because he opposes the Iraq War.

When Behar teased Paul's appearance before going to commercial, she pointed out that he is, in addition to his 10 terms in Congress, an OB-GYN. "Two treats in one," she told the audience, before poking a little fun at Paul.

As a large head shot of him smiling in front of an American flag flashed on screen, Behar asked, "Can you imagine that face staring at you from behind the stirrups."

Co-host Sherri Shepherd said she thought Paul looked nice and she wouldn't mind him delivering her baby.

Not your typical Ron Paul introduction.

Wow, what a classy way to introduce a presidential candidate. Real smooth.

Joy Behar, of course, loooooves Ron Paul because of his anti-war stance, but he's also against abortion, so she just couldn't possibly support him, darn it.

Showing her political prowess, Whoopi Goldberg asked Paul about China and "all the things that have been going on there". Paul's zinger of a response? "Treat China like any other country."

Man, oh man. (Or maybe I should say woman?) Looks like The View is truly now on its way to becoming an important, relevant show that doesn't just talk about stupid woman issues. I mean, before Ron Paul took the stage, the ladies discussed Jennifer Love Hewitt's -- GASP!! -- cellulite, and how the power went out at Joy Behar's last dinner party. Riveting, indeed.

My number one question, though, is this. How did the producers do it?? With both Ron Paul and Joy Behar on stage, how were they able to support and contain all the craziness?!

The rumors are true

Barbara Walters announced today that Whoopi Goldberg is, indeed, taking terrorist-loving Rosie O'Donnell's place on The View. She begins the day after Labor Day. There's no word yet on a rumored second hiring, although Kathy Griffin's name has been tossed around, as well.

And don't worry, folks, the left-wing moonbattery will not fall by the wayside with Goldberg leading the way, no sir:

With her household-name status and vocal criticisms of President Bush, Goldberg will likely give "The View" the star power and sound bites formerly supplied by O'Donnell. On today's show, she hinted that like her predecessor, she won't shy away from contentious topics, regardless of whether or not her co-hosts share her opinion.

"I'm going to be a little meaner than normal," she said jokingly.

"Just be yourself!" Hasselbeck said.

Just for fun, let's recap some of Whoopi Goldberg's moonbat ravings:

  • "I don't agree, you see, I don't really view communism as a bad thing."
  • "This may be all Bush is really good for for me. I want some money back. I would like a little bit of it."
  • "You've got to vote for someone. It's a shame, but it's got to be done."
  • "That's why I'm here tonight. Because I love bush. But someone's giving bush a bad name. Someone has tarnished name of `bush.' Someone has waged war, someone has deliberately misled the country, someone has attempted to amend the constitution, all in the name of bush. The bush I know and cherish would never do such things. My bush is smarter than that. And if my bush is smarter than that, you can understand just how dumb I think that other bush is. And anyone who would wave to Stevie Wonder is not fully there. I will do whatever it takes to restore bush to its rightful place and that ain't in the White House. Vote your heart and mind and keep bush where it belongs."
  • "The concert organizers had asked to see my material beforehand, but I Xeroxed my behind and I folded it up in an envelope and I sent it back with a big kiss mark. Because we're Democrats. We don't do that. We're not afraid to laugh. That's the other people."

So, I guess we can look forward to more liberal spewing, lots of Bush bashing, and some crude sexual humor mixed in for good measure.

    Sounds like a great choice.

    Who will replace Rosie?

So I guess now the big question is, who will replace Rosie on The View? My guess is it will be another conspiracy-theorist liberal. The first guest host they had to fill in for Rosie's now-vacant spot was Whoopi Goldberg, who is definitely drinking the Kool-Aid.

You know who I would love to see join the panel? Michelle Malkin or Mary Katherine Ham. Seriously. They're both smart, talented, beautiful women who could eat Joy Behar and Baba Wawa for breakfast -- and then, the panel would actually be (gasp!) balanced, as far as the conservative-liberal ratio goes. Ratings go up whenever there are heated debates, right? I'm sure there'd be a lot more than that when you put a strong conservative voice on the panel along with the moonbat liberals.

Unfortunately, it is never going to happen. They'll find someone else who has the same opinions as Rosie and poor Elisabeth will be there all by herself.
