Why don't you lose some weight, fatty?

So I was told by a couple of liberal tolls, indignant over my re-posting of Mary Katharine Ham's debunking of the media manipulation of Obama's newest rally.

Hmm... well, what my weight has to do with media manipulation of the attendance at Obama's rally in North Carolina is beyond me. But that's how liberalism works, right? You have no facts and no valid argument to make, so just make childish personal attacks and smears!

Here are the comments, straight from the trolls themselves:
Akeitay:
Wow, talk about a bitter far-right blogger.

...

Get over it, fatty.

Akeitay:
God, you're a whale. ROFL. Hate to break it to you, hunny, but liberals don't WANT to date you. You look like a red-faced, freckled elephant, and that isn't particularly attractive.

I guess us crazy liberals put more emphasis on excercise than conservatives. LOL.

Grebrook:
Dude, she's fat. LOL. And she goes and gives this pathetically condescending interview about how she doesn't date liberal men, as if liberal men really care? It's kind of like a black guy telling the KKK "nah, you're not good enough for me to be a member". They're not exactly inviting him in.

Cassy, you're fat, seriously. Until you lose weight, I think it's safe to say that you don't have much room to talk about "liberal idiots" if you're not intelligent enough to stay healthy.

Grebrook:
Rofl, do you actually read this blog? This girl is a walking cliche. A fat, white angry Republican ...

Fat? A whale? Come on guys, couldn't you come up with anything better than that? I mean, really. That's like, the most boring, unoriginal insult in the book. Try a little harder next time. Please.

The funny thing is... I'm not fat. Unless, of course, something like this is your standard for "healthy" and "attractive":

Um, yeah. Compared to that, I guess I am a whale. Heaven forbid I eat three meals a day, get moderate exercize, and wear a size 8. And I can't help the fact that God gave me really, really big breasts. They started growing when I hit puberty and kind of never stopped -- and they don't get smaller, no matter how much I work out (believe me, I've tried). So, it's a little bit beyond my control.

But hey, let's compare fat l'il me to the "healthy" model above. Here's the most recent picture of me I have, taken this Sunday at a minor league baseball game.

Now, which one of those two pictures do you think depicts a healthy woman? I would venture a guess that it's me. The funny thing is that I used to be much, much more athletic than I am now. At my peak as a rower, I was in better shape than some football players were. My crew team had practices six days a week, three hours a day. We rowed, we ran, we did calisthenics, we lifted weights -- and, may I point out, the exact same weight circuit the guys were expected to do. Every girl on that crew, me included, had six packs, strong shoulders and backs, and rock-solid legs. And honestly, while being in such good physical shape was nice, I prefer my body now. I like being curvy. I like having a softer, more feminine body. I didn't think it was particularly appealing to have a body that was hard with all sharp edges. I like having a curvy figure that yes, is maybe less athletic than it used to be, but is much more feminine -- and not really unhealthy at all. So I'm not a size two. So a few stupid libtards think I'm a whale. Who gives a shit? They're probably pimply-faced, overweight nerds hacking away at a computer insulting bloggers because they have nothing better to do in their sad, miserable lives.

I really considered not writing this post. But I figured, what the hell. The thing is, there are plenty of these little asshole men running around criticizing women left and right over their weight. Celebrities get called fat for even the smallest amount of cellulite or the slightest weight gain -- usually by men. Men's magazines regularly prominently feature very skinny women in very skimpy clothing, usually complete with protruding rib cages and fake breasts. Women's magazines seem to use the same models. Magazines like Cosmo and Glamour constantly decry the media's use of too-thin models, but continually feature them in their fashion spreads and stories.

Yet somehow, men never get quite as criticized for their weight. Overweight or obese celebrities are never told by celebrity gossip pundits how fat they are or how disgusting they find them. That kind of vitriol seems to be reserved for women only -- why is that??

The worrisome part is that this kind of extreme criticism of women for their weight, and the high standards being put forth in our society, is having a very unhealthy effect on women today. Anorexia is on the rise for women of varying ages -- and women are 3 times more likely to get the disease than men are. In the year 2000, the number of women with eating disorders had doubled in less than three decades. Women struggle with negative body image every day -- barbs like the ones thrown at me usually leave deep wounds -- and what is it that these assholes think they are accomplishing? Does it make them feel big to put women down, to try to make them ashamed of their bodies? Why do so many [liberal] men seem to feel the need to make such personal attacks on women, and especially attacks concerning appearance? Michelle Malkin could probably write a damn dissertation on this subject.

Of course, as I said earlier, this is common practice. Whenever a libtard like these two can't come up with an intelligent response, they resort to personal attacks because they know they have nothing to add.

Also, why is the entertainment industry promoting such an unhealthy ideal? It's bad enough that there are people who look at Kate Moss and think "normal" and look at me and think "fat", but are they completely unconcerned about the effect this has on their audience? Does it not matter to them that they are forcing such an unhealthy lifestyle down people's throats?

There's nothing wrong with women having a little meat on their bones, and they shouldn't be made to feel ashamed of it by a cutthroat entertainment industry, insecure, immature, asshole libtard bloggers, or anyone else. What puts these two in a position to criticize mine or anyone else's weight, or their perception thereof? These are small, unintelligent people indeed. It's one thing to disagree with me, and express a different opinion like an adult. But attacking me and/or my personal appearance is arguing like a five-year-old.

But that really sums up how liberalism works, doesn't it?

The editor of the Buffalo Beast responds

Remember Ian Murphy, the shithead who had such horrible things to say about our troops? You know, this stuff:
So, 4000 rubes are dead. Cry me the Tigris. Another 30,000 have been seriously wounded. Boo fucking hoo. They got what they asked for—and cool robotic limbs, too.

Likely, just reading the above paragraph made you uncomfortable. But why?

The benevolence of America’s “troops” is sacrosanct. Questioning their rectitude simply isn’t done. It’s the forbidden zone. We may rail against this tragic war, but our soldiers are lauded by all as saints. Why? They volunteered to partake in this savage idiocy, and for this they deserve our utmost respect? I think not.

The nearly two-thirds of us who know this war is bullshit need to stop sucking off the troops. They get enough action raping female soldiers and sodomizing Iraqi detainees. The political left is intent on “supporting” the troops by bringing them home, which is a good thing. But after rightly denouncing the administration’s lies and condemning this awful war, relatively sensible pundits—like Keith Olbermann—turn around and lovingly praise the soldiers’ brave service to the country.

Ian writes for a lovely rag called the Buffalo Beast. I opened my e-mail today and saw the following comment submitted for approval at Wizbang by the Beast's editor, Paul Fallon:
Just so none of you feel you got the wrong dude, the guy in the photo thatMac Lorry posted, is me but the phone number is wrong, so if you call that# you'll be harassing the wrong person. I am the publisher of The Beast. Idon't hide behind screen names like most of you pussies. The dumbmotherfuckers in this country have no conception of how close they are tobecoming the next Gestapo or Hitler youth. Then I suppose the Nazissupported the troops too. If you want to kick my ass drop me an email. Iwas in the military but I was a medic so maybe I'm not so tough. That virusshit is bogus. Watch for a counter-attack soon.

He's referring to one of Wizbang's commenters, Mac Lorry, who published contact information from the Beast's public domain.

Of course, he goes straight for the liberal talking point of how we're THISCLOSE to being herded like cattle into railcars headed straight for concentration camps, all for disagreeing with Chimpy McHitlerburton!! Apparently, if you support the troops, that makes you a Nazi!!

Gee, that's an insult conservatives have never heard. Do liberal have no imagination, no creativity? Sheesh.

Whether or not the virus part is true, the "counter-attack" threat is interesting. What, pray tell, could he have planned for us?? I'll be busy shivering in my socks and pajamas. In the meantime, someone let me know when this douche comes up with an original idea. I won't hold my breath.

Lefty blogger: "So 4,000 Rubes Are Dead, Cry Me A Tigris"

There really isn't anything that can adequately prepare you for the depravity of what you are about to read, so let's just jump right into it. Here's an essay from yet another patriotic liberal. Be cautioned before clicking the link: LGF is reporting that clicking the donation link leads to a virus, so be very careful.

Why?

What service are they providing? I don’t remember ordering 300,000 dead Iraqis—although I was doing a lot of heavy narcotics back in ‘03. Our soldiers are not providing a service to the country, they’re providing a service to a criminal administration and their oil company cronies. When a mafia don orders a hit, is the assassin absolved of personal responsibility when it’s carried out? Of course not. What if the hit man was fooled into service? We’d all say, “Tough shit, you dumb Guido,” then lock him up and throw away the key.

As a society, we need to discard our blind deference to military service. There’s nothing admirable about volunteering to murder people. There’s nothing admirable about being rooked by obvious propaganda. There’s nothing admirable about doing what you’re told if what you’re told to do is terrible.

We all learned recently that the Bush administration instituted its policy of global torture during quaint White House meetings. And we already know this war was started with lies. Shame on them. But what about the people who physically carry out these atrocities? We’ve seen bad apples punished and CEO despots walk free, but all verbal and written denouncement is focused on our leaders. Surely, they deserve that and more—decapitation, really. But why can’t we be critical of the people who have actually tortured and murdered hundreds of thousands of Iraqi citizens? We deride private contractors like Blackwater for similar conduct—why are the troops blameless?

...

Again, what is heroic about involving one’s self in a foolish war, being a shitty pilot or getting tortured? Yeah, it must have sucked, but getting your ass kicked every day for five years doesn’t make you a hero—it makes you a Bad News Bear.

Here’s where America’s military lust becomes a true perversion. If we truly valued military prowess, John McCain would be viewed as a failure. But duty alone is enough to inspire our gratitude. Hence the left’s tendency to obligatorily praise the troops while decrying the sum of their actions. Good thing, too, because this war is unwinnable.

...

How despicable must a military campaign be before Americans turn on their beloved troops? After chiding the “War on Toddlers” as fool-headed and pointlessly barbaric, would Keith Olbermann still thank the troops for their service? After the “Great Grandmother Slaughter of 2010,” will the press remove the fat military cock from its mouth? Following “Operation Murder Fluffy Kittens,” will the left finally nix the “honored service” crap? No. No, they won’t.

Pat Dollard has this asshat's contact info. The piece originates out of Buffalo, New York and the author is Ian Murphy. Here's his contact info:
Ian Murphy

This little shithead doesn't understand why so many Americans have such respect and reverence for the military. Maybe it's because of the incredible sacrifice they make on a daily basis -- the risks they put themselves in, the lives they give up, the danger they face daily -- all to defend the freedoms this asshat so thoroughly enjoys.

And he's apparently not content to say he doesn't like our troops -- oh, no. He's gotta smear and slander them while he's at it. Apparently they're raping their fellow female soldiers, sodomizing Iraqis, and murdering civilians right and left.

Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, huh?

Oh, and apparently, John McCain's incredible sacrifice of being tortured daily for five years as a POW in Vietnam is meaningless -- not just meaningless, but stupid and unworthy of our gratitude.

If this guy can't understand the service our troops are making for this country, then he's an idiot. And if he can so cavalierly accuse them of such despicable acts without even a modicum of proof to show that these things are actually happening on a regular basis (which, of course, they aren't), then he isn't just stupid.

I just cannot understand what makes so many on the left hate our military so much. I just don't get it.

There's really no deep commentary I can give to you about this, beyond to say the obvious -- that this guy is a disgusting idiotic creep who must have some kind of mental disorder to look at our military the way he does. The only thing I really can say is this: that every day, I am grateful for the sacrifices that our soldiers have made, because were it not for the fact that they have been so willing to be stronger and more selfless than I am, I wouldn't have the life I had today, and I wouldn't be enjoying the freedoms I enjoy every day. And it is all thanks to our military.

Maybe this asshat should remember who it is that gives him the freedom to say such horrible things.

John Kerry: Lying about Vietnam Vets to make their lives better!

Well, whaddya know. Apparently, accusing his fellow Vietnam war vets of raping, murdering, electrocuting, dismembering, torturing, mutilating, etc., innocent civilians was all because he just cared so gosh darn much. He wanted to bring about a policy change, darn it, and smearing his fellow soldiers was the best way to do it.

It's just too bad that the rest of us idiots aren't as learned as Jawn Carry is and couldn't understand what he was trying to do.

From Kerry's website:
John Kerry entered public life because of a burning desire to help people. Having seen bad decisions made in Washington that put too many people at risk in combat, he was determined to do better. Coming back from the Vietnam War, where he served two tours of duty and was highly decorated for bravery, he felt a responsibility to help his buddies still in Vietnam and all of the other servicemen there by working to bring about a change in policy in what was a war gone wrong.

Emphasis mine, of course.

Um... explain to me how blatantly lying about "his buddies" improved their situation in Vietnam, because I'm not seeing it. Frankly, John Kerry and his Winter Soldier friends could probably be charged with treason, because his actions stateside surely aided and emboldened the enemy.

And, if I'm correct, didn't Kerry serve one tour of duty in Vietnam? Maybe I'm wrong here, but if memory serves me right, he was only in Vietnam once.

I guess when John Kerry, and liberals like him (hello, Barack Obama) smear you, lie about you, and deride you, you should just remind yourself that likely, it's for your own good. They know better than you do. There's a plan, people. We're just too gosh darn stoopid to know what it is, so we should just trust in their infinite wisdom. Right?

Right?

Phelps & Co. chased off UW campus

So, it's pretty much been established that Fred Phelps & Co. of the disgusting Westboro Baptist Church need to be eradicated from the face of the planet. No, I don't mean someone should go kill them, but it would be a better place if they just didn't exist.

Their newest protest? Three University of Wisconsin students who died in a fire.
A fire swept through a two-story house near the University of Wisconsin-Stout campus early Saturday, killing three students.

"It's a tragedy that no campus prepares for," Chancellor Charles Sorensen said. "We'll grieve in this together."

Firefighters arrived five minutes after the 3:32 a.m. call to find moderate smoke coming from the basement, first floor and second floor of the white duplex, university spokesman Doug Mell said.

Rescuers found two women and a man in second-floor bedrooms, authorities said. All three were taken to a hospital where they were pronounced dead.

This time, the assholes had an angry mob of UW students waiting for them. And whaddya know, the WBC asshats were chased off of campus by a mob of students shouting "Go Home!" and yelling insults (but not throwing punches).

Here's video:

Personally, I love it. I give two very enthusiastic thumbs up to the UW students. What is there to protest about for three students dying in a fire? I mean, honestly... have they just broadened their protest-worthy funerals to "any tragic death anywhere"?

What will it take to get these idiots to just go away? That will probably never happen, but what would it take to get them to keep their crazy notions to themselves at home?

Video of the Day

Here's a disturbing video for you today -- some idiot parents thought it would be a good idea to let their baby play with a cobra. A COBRA. Ace's readers point out that, as a performing cobra, it is probably defanged, but I still call major asshattery on the part of the parents... and whoever else was standing around laughing at this obviously pissed-off cobra (check out the hood) trying to strike a baby.

Defanged my ass. That's still just awful. Besides the actual cobra strikes to the head, why on Earth would you want your child to grow up with no fear of dangerous, deadly snakes? Not every snake you come across is going to be defanged, yet you want to indoctrinate the notion into your children from infancy that snakes are living toys??

And how lovely that the camera stopped filming once the snake wrapped itself around the baby's neck -- was it then, and only then, that the "responsible adults" decided it was time to pull the snake off? Or did they stop filming because something actually happened to the baby? I vote for -- and certainly hope for -- the first option. But if you're willing to let a cobra, defanged or not, strike your baby on the head repeatedly, and then laugh about it, there's something not right about you. These people, these pitiful excuses for parents, shouldn't have been allowed to breed.

Oh, but wait, all cultures are equal, so clearly we should just respect this. It's probably something our greedy, stupid Western minds just can't understand.

Sex offender wants to run for mayor of Dallas suburb

Huh?
A registered sex offender collared in an Internet sting four years ago is running for mayor of a small Dallas suburb.
James Brian Sliter (SLY'-ter) says he's sorry and needs to prove he can be an asset to his community. The 42-year-old was arrested after arranging sex with someone he met on the Internet who he thought was a 15-year-old girl.

Sliter was placed on 10 years of probation for attempting to commit sexual assault of a child. The case will eventually be dismissed if he stays out of trouble.

Sliter says he's not asking residents of the suburb of Wilmer to condone what he did. He just wants them to forgive him and give him a chance.

Current Mayor Don Hudson says a sex offender serving as mayor will put a stigma on the city.

Needs to prove he can be an asset to the city? Prove it to who? Is he doing this to fix his reputation or because he actually is qualified to be mayor of this city? This reeks of liberalism. I don't know what party he wants to run for (given that it isn't listed in the story, my guess would be Democrat), but it's such a liberal point-of-view to do something to make yourself feel better. It will hurt this poor wittle sex-offenders feewwings, see, if Wilmer residents don't let him prove himself, if they don't forgive him... for trying to have sex with a 15-year-old! But who cares? If it feels good, do it!

I would say that no resident in their right mind would vote this guy into office. But the names Kwame Kilpatrick, Marion Barry, and Ray Nagin are coming to mind.

And the current mayor's response is just priceless. A sex offender serving as mayor will put a stigma on the city?!

Uh... you think?!

The fact that this is even being considered, that this is even in the news, is sad. Sad, sad, sad. Why would anyone give this guy the time of day? The appropriate response to a sex offender wanting to run for office is either a middle finger to the face, or loud laughter followed by a slamming door. This guy shouldn't get even the tiniest modicum of respectability.

Aw, but he's sorry, so we should just let it go, right? Right, liberals? He didn't actually hurt anyone (although not for lack of trying). If he wants to run for mayor, we should just let him, right?

Jeez. How about we throw this guy in jail rather than only giving him probation for trying to have sex with a child and never, ever letting him come into any kind of contact with a child again for the rest of his life? How about that?

TMZ: Recovering missing soldiers is a "ridiculous waste"

TMZ, the celebrity gossip site, has taken a break from posting about Britney's crotch shots, celebrity sex tapes, fashion scandals, and American Idol to opine about taxes and the military. Here's what they had to say:
Former "Bachelor" bachelor Andy Baldwin just got back from the island of Palau in the South Pacific -- not on vacation, on a mission with the Navy. Now let's talk about why we the taxpayers are footing the bill on such BS.

Baldwin was among 20 military types who were on a search mission in the middle of the ocean. What, you ask, were they looking for? A B-24J bomber that went down during the war. Not Iraq. Not Vietnam. No, not Korea. We're talking WWII, as in more than 60 years ago.

Turns out, the military spends $52 million each year to find the remains of missing soldiers -- it's part of the POW/MIA program. That's all well and good depending on the circumstances. But a crash that is ancient history, at a time when the economy sucks and the Federal government is sucking the life out of everyone with taxes??

Baldwin, a Navy medic and diver, and crew found what could be human remains. We're told it's all being tested in the lab and it could take months, even years, to determine identities. At least he got a really good tan.

A poll accompanied the story asking, "Ridiculous waste?", which 48% of TMZ readers responded, "Yes".

How, pray tell, is recovering the missing bodies of soldiers who died defending our freedoms considered a "ridiculous waste" of time and money? Bringing home the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for us is the least we can do for them. It's a commitment we make to them -- in fact, accompanying the popular POW/MIA bracelets, stickers, and care decals is often the phrase "Until They All Come Home" -- and no, lefties, that does not mean cutting-and-running. It means that we won't leave any of our soldiers left behind, that we'll bring them home, no matter where they are or how much it costs to bring them home.

We have an example here in Florida of the torture it is to the families of soldiers whose fate is unknown: Scott Speicher. Scott was originally from Kansas City, KA but moved to Jacksonville, which he then made his home. He joined the Navy, becoming a pilot. He ranked as a Lieutenant Commander. His F-18 Hornet was shot down by an Iraqi surface-to-air-missile on January 18, 1991. He was originally listed as killed in action, but his status was changed to "missing-captured" in 2001. The Navy released a report saying that there was no credible evidence to conclude that he perished in the crash, and believe that he is being held by Iraqi insurgents to this day.

Speicher's name is listed on the Duval County Veteran's Memorial Wall, however --a monument erected to remember Duval County residents who have perished fighting our country's wars. No one knows for sure what happened to Speicher, though -- whether he is alive or dead. The Navy is still searching for him.

The lack of information surrounding Scott Speicher's whereabouts are torturous to his family, but also to the entire Jacksonville community. "Free Scott Speicher!" bumper stickers are a regular sight when driving around town.

Would TMZ consider it a waste if the military was able to tell the Speichers, and his community, what fate befell him? To be able to give him a proper burial, if he did perish, or rescue him, if he is still alive yet being held prisoner?

It is our responsibility to bring back Scott Speicher and all of his comrades, whether alive or dead.

If TMZ can't understand that, then that's unfortunate for them. And maybe they should just stick to writing about things they do understand, like the differences between female celebrities' genitals.

Thankfully, a good number of their readers were insulted, as they obviously understand how important it is to bring our men home. Here were some of the responses:
The military is committed to recover their own. If there is a chance to find the remains of a relative, they will do it. This is a small price the US Government pays to provide service members' families peace of mind.

Spoken by someone who has never lost a loved-one to battle. Stick to following stars, TMZ. Your commentary on US spending leaves something to be desired.

-Someone who opposes war (old and new) but who supports the veterans (old and new) who have fought them.

How could this even be spoken as a possible waste? Many soldiers in any war have been MIA. These family members would give anything to find out what happened to their loved ones and give proper respect and burial. TMZ's stance is pretty clear. Very Sad, Very Sad

I don't think it is too much, not considering they gave their lives for the freedom of this country and the freedom you have right now to report on this story and like the freedom I have to view it and comment on it.

Any American soldier that dies in a ANY war has a right to be brought home for burial! The peeps that think it is a waste obviously don't have any family in the military........

You children at TMZ have no idea of what you are talking about (again)...this program makes certain that we will bring our heroes home, no matter what, for their final resting place. Not all deaths occur in lands where the people are grateful, like the cemeteries in France...and not all deaths occur where an immediate retrieval is a possibility.

Wow, "TMZ Staff." I hope you never have to go through the experience of never knowing what happened to a missing serviceman/woman in your family. These "human remains" which you call such a waste of time and money to identify because they're, what -- too old??? -- are some family's sons, brothers, fathers, even grandfathers. Your coverage I usually find amusing and fun, but this is really callous. Have any of you "TMZ Staff" given ANY amount of time to your country (let alone your life)? Or is your definition of 'danger' the possibility of being run over by Britney Spears? Shame on you. And guess what, I'm a Democrat who is against the war but FOR our servicemen, of ALL ages in ALL wars. Go back to your hanging around on the sidewalk waiting for some vapid star to exit a coffee shop. God Bless servicemen and women who help protect America, in ANY war or action, and YOUR FREEDOM to report and OUR FREEDOM to read about every idiot star's beach butt or denial to a club.

Mary

You obviously have no idea what the word "sacrafice" means. These men DIED protecting our country. Now I know that you liberal hollywood types find this notion hard to understand but some people do love the American way of life. It's much easier to hide a continent away and criticize every move this country makes than to put on a uniform and fight. If there was only $1 left in the budget it should go to this recovery effort because without those pilots there would not be an America. Get a clue and stick to the celebs. You people are a disgrace and a joke. I think Britney just left for the gas station. Now run along.

Those sacred bones belong to US.

The sacrifice made must be honored and respected.

I object to Welfare, giving money to people who can but refuse to work!

Chris Cuomo: Harry was in Afghanistan because he's "expendable"

How quickly do you think he'll put out an apology for this display of asshattery?

Check out Good Morning America co-host Chris Cuomo saying that Prince Harry was in Afghanistan because he's "expendable":

Did your jaw drop watching that? Mine sure did.

So what does this mean? That unless you're second in line to become a King, that you mean nothing? What a huge slap in the face to service members everywhere. Hey, guess what guys? According to the GMA co-host, you're serving overseas because you're expendable! It doesn't matter if you die!

What a fucking piece of shit that Chris Cuomo is.

(I have never used the f-word on this blog before, but I think this asshat deserves it.)

I know, I know, most liberals look down their noses at our service members, but all the same... keep your dirty thoughts to yourself, would you?

And as far as Prince Harry is concerned... the rest of us sane people salute you. I personally find his story to be one of incredible courage and selflessness, and I think what he did was incredibly admirable, until someone had to go mess it up (way to go, Drudge).

And no, Chris "Douchebag" Cuomo. No servicemember is "expendable" just because they aren't next in line to a throne, or wealthy, or powerful, or whatever it is that makes you think someone is inexpendable. But I can tell you one thing right now -- each and every member of our military is more important, and more admirable, than you are and ever will be. You're just an MSM peon; you don't deserve to lick their boots.

Video of the Day: "Peaceful" protesting in Berkeley

Here's some video of the mature, peaceful, patriotic, fair-minded protestors in Berkeley.

Wait, did I say mature, peaceful, and patriotic? Make that foul-mouthed, violent, America-hating, military-despising, close-minded protestors in Berkeley. See some great catchphrases, hear some wonderful insults being tossed around, and watch as a mob of people chase two Republicans away yelling "Hit them!" and trying to start a fight.

Fred Phelps & Co. strike again

Who hear is familiar with the Westboro Baptist Church and its "leader", the P.O.S. excuse for a human being named Fred Phelps? For those not in the know, let's get you acquainted.

Fred Phelps is the pastor of the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas. Phelps & Co. are well-known for picketing any event supportive of the gay community -- gay pride weeks, parades, etc. They also condemn Catholics, Muslims, Jews, and anyone who may support the groups they hate -- including the United States, Canada, Ireland, Sweden, Mexico, etc. One of their websites is called God Hates America and "praises God for the NIU massacre". They call themselves Baptist, but are not affiliated with any known Baptist conventions or associations, nor does any Baptist institution recognize the church as a Bible-believing fellowship. They believe that almost every tragedy in the world is caused by homosexuality, and that homosexuality should be considered a capital crime.

Disgusted yet? It gets worse.

The WBC is more a cult than a church. Members are not allowed to marry anyone outside the church. They picket daily, and travel nationwide to picket the funerals of murdered homosexuals or those who have died of AIDS -- including the funeral of Matthew Shepard. They also protest at live theatre, concerts, and Kansas City Chiefs football games, claiming that these are "havens for homosexuality".

They've now shifted their attention from focusing on protesting homosexuality to protesting funerals of fallen soldiers killed in the Iraq war. On their website's FAQ section (yes, that really is the web address for those who are shocked), they claim that (please be cautioned for language):
These turkeys are not heroes. They are lazy, incompetent idiots looking for jobs because they're not qualified for honest work.

They were raised on a steady diet of fag propaganda in the home, on TV, in church, in school, in mass media - everywhere - the two-pronged lie: 1) It's OK to be gay; and, 2) Anyone saying otherwise, like WBC, is a hatemonger who must be vilified, demonized, marginalized into silence.

Therefore, with full knowledge of what they were doing, they voluntarily joined a fag-infested army to fight for a fag-run country now utterly and finally forsaken by God who Himself is fighting against that country.

Like me, I'm sure that you're thoroughly disgusted by reading all of that. These asshats are the primary reason that we need the Patriot Guard Riders, a noble group of bikers who travel across the country to shield the families of fallen soldiers from the protesters.

Recently successfully sued by the father of a fallen soldier, Fred Phelps and the WBC are undeterred. Unsatisfied now with attacking the families of fallen soldiers while they mourn at their loved ones' funerals, or protesting the gay community nationwide, the Phelps' and WBC is planning to protest at a memorial service for Brianna Denison. Who is Brianna?

She was a young girl who attended Santa Barbara College, and who was raped and strangled to death in Reno, NV. She was visiting a friend in Nevada over Christmas break, and was abducted in January.

According to their website, here is why they are protesting:
Reno-Sparks Convention Center 4590 S. Virginia St. This is for the memorial service for Brianna Denison. She was the "victim" of a serial rapist's strangulation. We call it the Wrath of God being poured out on a nation of rebels without a cause. You brought this Wrath on your own head, Reno, NV because you (1st) raised your chidren to be dashed to pieces as rebellious, arrogant soldiers of a Doomed nation of perverts and (2nd) when we warned you to not go to Hell like the dead soldiers and OBEY YOUR MAKER, you lawless brutes did not obey your own laws; instead, you allowed criminal, disorderly conduct to take place betwixt our humble, peaceful preachers and your arrogant, filthy-mouthed and violent counter-demonstraters. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QufIrF9-b9E for an excellent view of Doomed Americans breaking their own laws. You taught your daughters to be whores ? God sent the pervert to rape and murder your daughters. You taught your people to be lawless ? when your police do NOT obey the law and the oath they took ? you teach rebellion to the people. When you call God a liar and say his standards are on the table to dispose of, you teach the pervert that HE is entitled to disobey the law!! America is Doomed, and Reno, Nevada is Doomed. Amen.

This is Brianna Denison:

She was someone's daughter, someone's sister, someone's friend. What happened to her is a horrible tragedy -- abducted and killed by a serial rapist who authorities believe will become a serial killer, if he isn't already. The memorial service is being called a celebration of life, to remember and cherish the person that she was. These scumbags are going to show up and cause her family and friends more pain and suffering than they already are because of their sick, twisted, self-righteous "dogma".

I've read that there will be plenty of people there, bikers (probably the Patriot Guard, but who knows?), to counter-protest them. Let's hope so. If you live in the Reno area, I strongly encourage you to counter-protest them yourself. The service is tonight from 6:00 - 7:00 pm at the Reno Sparks Convention Center. If we can keep the asshats away from her grieving family and friends it would be wonderful. The loss these people have suffered is enormous, and they don't need the memory of their daughter and friend, and their time of grieving, tarnished by pitiful, pathetic assclowns like the WBC idiots. If you can't attend, then please keep Brianna's family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Australian judge rules that a ten-year-old wanted to be gang raped

In Australia, nine Aborigines raped a ten-year-old girl. Six of them were juveniles, and one of the adults had a prior offense on his record -- the rape of another ten-year-old girl. But thanks to Judge Sarah Bradley, these men won't be going to jail, because the victim, now twelve, "probably agreed" to be raped (emphasis mine):
Nine males who pleaded guilty last month to gang-raping a 10-year-old girl at the Aurukun Aboriginal community on Cape York have escaped a prison term, with the sentencing judge saying the child victim "probably agreed" to have sex with them.

Cairns-based District Court judge Sarah Bradley ordered that the six teenage juveniles not even have a conviction recorded for the 2005 offence, and that they be placed on a 12-month probation order.

One of the adult rapists, Raymond Frederick Woolla, 26, is on the Australian National Child Offence Register following a conviction on March 29 last year for unlawful carnal knowledge of a female child - an offence committed after he was charged with the rape of the 10-year-old girl.

Judge Bradley said Woolla was the oldest and should have known a lot better.

"You cannot have sex with anyone under 16," she said. "However, as I said before, I am not treating anyone any differently in terms of being a ringleader, and in your case, again, I will impose a sentence of imprisonment but it will be wholly suspended so you do not go to jail today. But if you get into more trouble in the next year, you could end up in jail."

Woolla had been arrested on August 7 last year and the judge said the 14 days he spent in custody awaiting his sentence was to count as "imprisonment already served".

When sentencing the juveniles, Judge Bradley said: "All of you have pleaded guilty to having sex with a 10-year-old girl and (one of the juveniles) has pleaded guilty to having sex with another young girl as well. All of you have to understand that you cannot have sex with a girl under 16. If you do, you are breaking the law, and if you are found out, then you will be brought to court and could end up in jail. I accept that the girl involved, with respect to all of these matters, was not forced, and that she probably agreed to have sex with all of you. But you were taking advantage of a 10-year-old girl and she needs to be protected, and the girls generally in this community need to be protected. This is a very serious matter. It is a very shameful matter and I hope that all of you realise that you must not have sex with young girls. Anyone under 16 is too young. Some of you are still children yourselves. Others of you are adults but I am treating you all equally in terms of the behaviour. I am not treating any of you as the ringleader or anything like that."

She asked each prisoner to stand up and said she hoped they would realise it was wrong to have sex with young girls.

Judge Bradley then offered them probation and when each agreed to accept that, she said she would not record a conviction.

To one of the juveniles, she said: "You are still a child. You have pleaded guilty to one offence of rape. You have been in a lot of trouble in the past, though, and you still have some community service to do. You have not been doing that well. I am prepared to offer you probation but you have got to stick with the rules of probation."

The juvenile agreed and was then placed on 12 months' probation, with no conviction recorded.

Not mentioned in this story is that rape of children has become a widespread epidemic in Australia, which makes Bradley's irresponsible sentence all the worse.
Aboriginal children, including babies as young as seven months, are being raped by community members, with the crimes going largely unreported and with few cases making it to trial, a Central Australian prosecutor says.

Nanette Rogers, Central Australia's Crown Prosecutor, has written a dossier on the tragic state of domestic violence in Aboriginal communities which details horrific acts of abuse.

Dr Rogers cited an example from 2003 in which a man sexually assaulted a seven-month-old baby who he had removed from a room of sleeping adults. In the morning, her mother noticed blood on the baby's clothes but was too drunk to register what had happened.

In another incident, a male relative took a two-year-old girl into the bush and digitally penetrated her anally and vaginally at the same time. He returned the toddler to her father's camp, crying and bleeding.

Both children required surgery for external and internal injuries, Dr Rogers said.

Dr Rogers cited another case in which an 18-year-old petrol sniffer drowned a young girl while raping her as a number of children played in a waterhole a kilometre or so from the community.

"While she was playing in water he pulled her under, anally penetrated her, drowned her, probably simultaneously. The children gave very graphic evidence (against him)," she told ABC TV.

She said the acts were "beyond the range" of normal comprehension but there were many reasons they had occurred.

"Violence is entrenched in a lot of aspects of Aboriginal society here," she said. "Aboriginal people choose not to take responsibility for their own actions ... the reason for that malaise is mostly because of the entrenchment of violence in the whole of the community."

Dr Roger said violence in Aboriginal communities was "all around", particularly at stations in rural areas.

But because it was frowned upon to report the acts, few of the crimes made it to trial.

"All child sexual assault is happening at much higher rates than is being reported to police," Dr Rogers said.

If Australians take justice seriously at all, they will demand for Judge Bradley to be removed from the bench immediately. She quite obviously has no concept of what rape is. And how she can look at an adult with a prior record of raping a child, who has now raped another child with eight accomplices, and think that he doesn't deserve serious jail time is completely beyond my comprehension. If I could sentence those men, the ringleader with a history of raping children would be serving life in jail, and the rest would be serving serious jail time. Community service will not reform them, nor will it keep them from raping other children. Letting the ringleader and serial child rapist, Raymond Woolla, go free is a serious miscarriage of justice. It is laughable for anyone to think that he won't do this again.

How can any judge look at this case and accuse the ten-year-old of agreeing to have sex with nine men?! Obviously, she is incompetent and unable to comprehend the details and repercussions of the responsibility she holds in her hands, and is completely flouting that responsibility. Calling this sentence "lenient" is a giant understatement. What this sentence is -- probation and community service for nine child rapists -- is a huge miscarriage of justice. Bradley should step down voluntarily, if she has any respect for the position that she holds at all. If she won't step down voluntarily, she should be removed.

Ted Rall... he's ba-a-ack...

How does one begin to describe Ted Rall?

He's a hate-filled asshat who smears our troops on a semi-regular basis and is dripping with nothing but smug condescension and vile hatred for the men and women who give him the freedom to be a complete and total asshat. He's published in over 140 publications, was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, received first place in both the 1995 and 2000 Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Awards for Cartoons, and was awarded the 1998 Deadline Club Award by the Society of Professional Journalists. The Left just loves this guy.

Back in July, I wrote about his then-latest smear of our troops. He published a new cartoon calling our troops suicide bombers, saying our troops are possessed with religious fervor, poor education, immaturity, blind obedience, etc. This is also the same Ted Rall who called Pat Tillman an idiot, a sap, and a "cog in low-rent occupation army that shot more innocent civilians than terrorists to prop up puppet leaders and exploit gas and oil resources".

He even accused our troops of being murderers for Halliburton (there's one we've never heard before):
There was a time when service in U.S. military was honorable and professionally rewarding. But because of politicians who use the military to pump up corporate profits instead of defending us, that was a long time ago. Americans with personal integrity should boycott the volunteer military and discourage everyone they care about to do the same. "They come from parts of the country where jobs are hard to find," an acquaintance condescendingly excuses the enlistees. Whatever happened to personal responsibility? I'd rather sleep under a bridge, eating trash out of a Dumpster, than murder human beings for Halliburton.

If we're attacked by a foreign power, as we last were in 1941 at Pearl Harbor, Americans will line up to volunteer. World War II, won six decades ago by a storied generation of draftees and volunteers, was fought to defend American freedom. But we haven't fought an honorable war since.

You know, why do I have the feeling that Ted Rall was the bespectacled kid with a runny nose who everyone hated in high school, and was beaten up by the football team over and over again?

Anyways, Ted Rall has decided that he hasn't smeared and insulted the people ensuring his freedoms quite enough yet, and has come out with yet another vile cartoon, characterizing our troops as idiots and saying that only idiots die at war.

Here's my question. According to this cartoon, natural selection is kicking in and that's why our troops are dying.

But if that's the case, then why is Ted Rall still with us? If natural selection had really kicked in, he would've been among the first to go.

And you know, the world would probably be a better place.

But just make sure to not ever, ever question his patriotism.

Happy Halloween! You've just committed a hate crime!

What type of decorations might you usually see around Halloween? Skeletons, spiderwebs, gravestones, dismembered hands... things like this are common, as is a decoration that is now being called a "hate crime".

Kelly Lynch says she is a witch, and therefore, her neighbor's Halloween decoration of a hanging witch is a hate crime -- just like burning crosses or hanging nooses in a black family's yard would be.

Sigh:
Driving down East Street in Chicopee it's hard not to notice a witch hanging from a noose. To many, it's an innocent Halloween decoration, but for Kelly Lynch it's offensive.

"We don't harm anyone, we worship god, we are not evil, and we don't cast spells, " says Lynch.

Lynch is a witch. She has been studying witchcraft since she was a child, and says it's her way of life.

"We are just like Christians, Muslims, we have our own religion, " adds Lynch.

That's why when she saw the life-like witch hanging in someones front yard she went straight to the home owner's door.

"He told me to lighten up, it was a Halloween decoration, I know it's his constitutional right, but I want it down. To make that your only decoration...it's kind of odd, " stresses Lynch.

But the owner will do no such thing. His neighbor says he has every intention of keeping it up.

"There's no way it's coming down. I think it's funny people are getting so upset, it's only a decoration, " says neighbor, Kevin Belder.

But Lynch says it's no laughing matter. She says it's a hate crime against her religion

"Look at Louisiana, it's the same thing, what if a black family burned crosses, or nooses it would be the same thing, " says Lynch.

And if the owner still doesn't take the Witch down from its noose by Halloween, Lynch plans to protest outside his home.

She says it's not only a hate crime against her religion, but offensive to the entire community.

"It's depicting death. I wouldn't destroy a cross or bash a religion or race,so I don't expect that to happen to me, " adds Lynch.

I have to say, Lynch made lots of fun statements in this, so let's take them on one by one, shall we?

In my opinion, this right here is the money quote:
I know it's his constitutional right, but I want it down.

Doesn't that just sum up the "I'm offended, therefore I am" crowd perfectly? This woman doesn't care that it's a Halloween decoration up temporarily, not something he has hanging all year round. She doesn't care that it is, indeed, his right to put up whatever he wants. She doesn't care that it's on his own private property. The only thing she cares about is that she is offended, damn it, so he must pay, the insensitive asshole.

Here's another funny little nugget:
But Lynch says it's no laughing matter. She says it's a hate crime against her religion.

Yes, a Halloween decoration that a "witch" is offended by is surely offensive not only to her, but to the entire community. I bet people drive by his house all the time shaking their heads, thinking, "That is so cruel to the witches of Chicopee." And I especially love how she equates a Halloween decoration to real hate crimes! Yes, a Halloween decoration of a hanging witch, that you can probably buy for less than $20 at any Wal-Mart in the country, is the same thing as the KKK burning crosses into a black family's yard.

There is just too much hate in this country, people! This woman is offended, and her feelings are hurt, so we need to all bend over backwards to make sure she is appeased!

Telling her to grow up and get over herself is, of course, not an option. Not at all.

Now, let me point something out. Let's pretend this is a different scenario. Let's say it's April, Lynch has just moved into the neighborhood and introduces herself to her neighbor. She tells said neighbor that she has been practicing witchcraft since she was a child. Neighbor gets angry and the next day, Lynch sees a hanging witch in her front yard.

That I could understand. But come on... it's a freaking Halloween decoration! She's going to protest in this guy's yard over a Halloween decoration?! And of course, we all have to agree with her. If anyone, ever, is offended then there must be repercussions for us insensitive jerks who don't care.

By the way, this is the decoration that Lynch is hyperventilating over:

It's so true to life, no wonder she's offended!

All sarcasm aside -- how long are we going to tolerate the "I'm offended, therefore I am" crowd? How long before we're only allowed to say or do certain things so that no one will be "offended"? I mean, take Lynch. How long before only certain Halloween decorations are approved for our use, all in the name of making sure that she doesn't get her pwecious wittle feewings hurt? The rights of her neighbor mean absolutely nothing to her.

Sound scary yet? 1984, here we come.

Stupidity strikes again

Ann Coulter is coming under fire from liberals everywhere for -- gasp!! -- openly explaining what it is that Christians believe. Right Wing News has the transcript. i'm not going to post the beginning, because its mostly blustering back and forth between the two, but by all means go and read the entire thing, too. Here is what I think best sums up the point Ann was trying to make:
"From the October 8 edition of CNBC's The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch:

DEUTSCH: Welcome back to The Big Idea. During the break, Ann said she wanted to explain her last comment. So I'm going to give her a chance. So you don't think that was offensive?

COULTER: No. I'm sorry. It is not intended to be. I don't think you should take it that way, but that is what Christians consider themselves: perfected Jews. We believe the Old Testament. As you know from the Old Testament, God was constantly getting fed up with humans for not being able to, you know, live up to all the laws. What Christians believe -- this is just a statement of what the New Testament is -- is that that's why Christ came and died for our sins. Christians believe the Old Testament. You don't believe our testament.

DEUTSCH: You said -- your exact words were, "Jews need to be perfected." Those are the words out of your mouth.

COULTER: No, I'm saying that's what a Christian is.

DEUTSCH: But that's what you said -- don't you see how hateful, how anti-Semitic --

COULTER: No!

DEUTSCH: How do you not see? You're an educated woman. How do you not see that?

COULTER: That isn't hateful at all.

DEUTSCH: But that's even a scarier thought. OK --

COULTER: No, no, no, no, no. I don't want you being offended by this. This is what Christians consider themselves, because our testament is the continuation of your testament. You know that. So we think Jews go to heaven. I mean, [Rev. Jerry] Falwell himself said that, but you have to follow laws. Ours is "Christ died for our sins." We consider ourselves perfected Christians. For me to say that for you to become a Christian is to become a perfected Christian is not offensive at all."

Now, like John Hawkins, I'm a little mystified about the whole "following all the laws" part of the discussion. But the basic point is accurate. Christianity is basically an add-on to Judaism, to put it simply.

What the controversy here is over, I have no idea. I'm guessing its simply because Ann Coulter spoke openly to a liberal media hack about her belief in Christianity, a religion constantly coming under attack in this country. Therefore, people must be "offended" because anything that Ann Coulter says must be offensive to someone!

Now, some retard has decided that he wants to fight back.

He wants to fight back by offering $1,000 to the first person to send him a video of someone attacking Ann Coulter.

With bagels.

This guy seriously is asking people to throw bagels at Ann Coulter.
So, once again Ann Coulter has opened her giant, hate spouting mouth on national television. You can find the info here:

http://politicalticker.blog...

In short she has said that all Jewish people should be "perfected" to Christianity. Not ok.

We'll give you $1000 if you send us a video of you pelting Ann Coulter with bagels. You've got 1 week. Get moving people.

Sign up here (http://www.bragster.com/signup) and click disagree in order to join the bet. To win the prize you need to be over 18 and have to post your video in the comment section below.

And we're not paying you to do it, we're paying for the video. It's not our responsibility if you get arrested, sued, stalked by right-wing fanatics or if Coulter lights you on fire.

There's a couple things about this that I find mildly amusing.

First, throw bagels?! Wow. That's pretty lame. I think this guy might be a few McNuggets short of a Happy Meal.

Second, and really the better point, isn't it interesting how liberals tend to react when conservatives say something they don't like? There are cases all across the country of liberals burning conservative newspapers, unplugging microphones, causing near riots to try to stop a conservative speaker, and (most notably in Ann Coulter's case, although it has also happened to David Horowitz and William Kristol), throwing pies. There are a few conservatives who debase themselves to this level, but by and large, its liberals becoming unhinged -- trying to keep conservatives from making a point, or insulting said conservative and their values, because they then never have to argue it.

I guess intelligent, reasonable debate is not an option for this guy, and many liberals. Rather than respond to what he disagreed about Ann Coulter's statements, he just insults her and asks people to throw bagels at her.

Oh, but he isn't paying anyone to actually throw bagels at her -- just to have video of it, in case there's some person who happened to have thrown bagels at her a few years ago and got it on tape, yet it somehow escaped the attention of the media or Coulter herself.

As the title says: stupidity strikes again.
