Mary Katharine Ham, though, attended the rally and paints a rather different picture.
Those tables in between my position and the rally you saw on TV are about a quarter full of milling, bored, tired reporters. The rally took up maybe a quarter of the floor space in the arena. Part of running a decent campaign is knowing how big a crowd you might have and planning accordingly so as not to embarrass yourselves with a woefully understuffed venue.
I realize it's standard practice to rope off an area of a venue for crowd-wrangling and appearances, but this is a little drastic. McCain's event at the Wait Chapel at Wake Forest today was nicely filled if not overflowing, but I imagine if he had held it at Groves Stadium and filled only the endzone seats, someone in the media might have said something about it. Obama doesn't have such worries, I guess.
Here's her picture of Obama's rally:
But why report the truth? Far better to distort the facts to make their precious Snobamamessiah look good.

Wow, talk about a bitter far-right blogger. So, I'm curious, Obama has had rallies stuffed and packed to the brim with people throughout this election. Why did you choose to highlight just this one rally?
Oh, that's right, because highlighting any other rally would have made you look like an ass. Obama's rallies, on average, far surpass McCain's. So what you're basically doing is whining that the media won't point out a single rally where McCain might have had a few more people.
Get over it, fatty.
akeitay, have you no sense of decency? Have you no self respect? You are attacking another person to calm the disturbed rumblings of your own mind. Cease at once, before you embarrass yourself further.
Cassy, thanks for the "behind the scenes." Heck, we do it too. Always nice to have a good chuckle over their failed frauds. Oh, and akeitay, not to worry. Barry is not a failed fraud. He is a real, in the flesh Marxist puppet (he is not his own master)and we should all be wary of the smooth talk with empty words. Go away. Now.
Look, pal, I know my stuff. I watch FOX NEWS, and I listen to Michael SAVAGE, and I read the FREE REPUBLIC.
It's been clear from the start that Obama is secretly a puppet of the Jews and Al Qaeda and that he's secretly working to institute the homosexual agenda in America, which will outlaw Christianity, require mandatory abortions and institute "sodomy squads" on every corner of America, which will patrol the streets at night, raping innocent heterosexual Republican men.
Cassy Fiano has been an outstanding warrior in stopping this dire fate.
Good doses of classless high school comments and ridiculous hyperbole from the left. Always mature, always appreciated!

Rofl, do you actually read this blog? This girl is a walking cliche. A fat, white angry Republican who believes that her point of view is an entitled one, that the media should focus on what SHE personaly wants, and that if they don't, it's proof that they're BIASED. Get real. Obama's rallies have been packed from the beginning. You finally find one that isn't and you're screaming because the media isn't high lighting it? Why should they?
Oh, that's right, because spoiled Republican brats must have their way, or else they'll go cry on Fox News about it.
You toss stones. Yet the house of your mind is truly glass and vulnerable. Tend to your own dysfunctional worldview, so full of venom and hate. We shall continue to press for liberty with responsibility. Irresponsible fools need not apply, Grebrook.
I don't particularly care who or how many go to Obama rallies. That isn't important to me. I was surfing around, came to this blog, and saw two people attacking this woman for being "overweight" and Republican. Who does that? Granted you may know her personally and I do not, but from the pictures on this page she doesn't look fat to me.
Why would you come to someone's blog and attack them personally (and anonymously) because you disagree with their point of view?
That doesn't seem a bit classless or immature to you?
Your have different opinions. Fine. I get it. But the way you personally attack this woman because you disagree with her is shameful.
I've been to an Obama rally. It was unorganized, took to long to get in, and perhaps a little anti-climactic. But it was DEFINITELY packed. People were turned away, he ended up giving the people who couldn't come in a chance to hear him speak in a small park outside the hall I went to see him at.
You don't have to like him, but why pretend that no one else does? There's a good chance that picture was taken - get this - before the actual rally started.
It really seams that the point was not that Obama can't pack them in, but that this one was not packed but it was presented as if it was busting at the seams.
But come on guys, when you disagree with some one you should be able to make an argument and not attack the author personally or make comments about how you perceive their weight.
It kind of shows how lefties win arguments; it certainly isn’t based on facts.
"There's a good chance that picture was taken - get this - before the actual rally started."
I wondered about that too, but I just don't see Ham sinking to that level. Why bother? There are mountains of problems with this guy, so there's no need to make stuff up.
The point was not, however, that Obama held a rally and no one came, it's that the established media are so in the tank for this guy that they are spinning and misrepresenting things to keep him looking good.
Finally, Cassy-you are one hot potato. Don't let these sniveling weasels tell you otherwise.
