Video of the Day

From Evaluation comes a video for the weekend. For all you Beatles fans, here's a new cover of "Hey Jude" by a diaper-wearing infant with a guitar bigger than he is. And I have to agree with Gags over at Evaluation: this kid is better than half of the signed recording artists out there today. Maybe better than three-quarters, even.

Enjoy:

And to show that this tot is, indeed, better than what the music industry gives us today, I'm giving you another video. This one also comes from Evaluation, and is a cover of Michael Jackson's "Beat It" sung by Charlotte Church and Amy Winehouse. Charlotte Church is lovely, but Amy Winehouse is a mess. In all likelihood, she was one God knows what kind of drugs during this performance, and at one point (around 2:00 in), you can even see Charlotte putting an arm around her to keep her steady. This performance is like a train wreck -- completely horrible and apalling, but you just can't look away. Even Charlotte's face is entertaining, because it's quite obvious that she's as apalled by Amy's performance as we are.

Did I mention that Amy Winehouse just won 5 Grammys? She won awards for Record of the Year, Best New Artist, Song of the Year, Best Vocal Album and Best Pop Vocal Performance. That's right, folks. Watch this video and see if you can tell me why.
