President Bush speaks to troops in Iraq

And just about every source I've read echoed the same sentiment: that the troops welcomed him, were genuinely happy to see him, and that the rafters were practically shaking with their cheers. For all his faults, the President is good with our troops, and more importantly, good to them. It's obvious in the many pictures, videos, and reports in this instance and others that he deeply respects, and is humbled by, them. He obviously doesn't get everything right -- not even close -- but it's instances like these that I remember why I so steadfastly supported him in 2004.
