Lindsay Lohan caught with drugs

Some mindless celebrity gossip for today: after being arrested for a DUI, Lindsay Lohan's car was searched and -- surprise! -- cocaine was found.

From Perez Hilton:

After being busted by police and charged with DUI, the LAPD are now revealing that cocaine was found in the troubled pAArty girl's car.

... Officers believe that Lindsay was speeding - under the influence of drugs/alcohol - and lost control of her car on Saturday morning. The car ... crashed into a curb and a tree on Sunset Blvd, and Lohan was taken in another car to the Century City hospital.

Police received a 911 call about the accident after Lindsay abandoned her banged up Mercedes and fled the scene of the incident.

Officers "tracked Ms. Lohan to the local hospital, where she was ultimately placed under arrest" for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Lohan was cited and released. She faces serious drama when the matter heads to court. In addition to the drunk driving dilemma, she will also face felony criminal charges for the illegal narcotics in her car.

Well, is anyone really surprised? Only in Hollyweird can so many celebrities get caught with DUIs and drugs with so few actually paying the price for it. So few so, in fact, that when one (Paris Hilton) actually has to face the music, it's national news for weeks and weeks on end.

So let's take some bets on what will happen now. My guess is Lindsay -- or her publicist, more like -- will hold a press conference and tearfully confess how the stresses of Hollywood are just overbearing for her, and how she wants to be a good role model for her fans (does she have any left?), and will quickly enter rehab to help "clean up" her image. Legally speaking, will other judges follow the example set with Paris Hilton and start actually, I don't know, sending celebrities to jail for breaking the law? My guess is no. She'll get away with this scot free.
